I have taught diatom identification for ecological purposes at the University of Duisburg-Essen since 2020.

With Michael Kloster I have lead several workshops within the International Diatom Symposium, German Protistology Meetings,… The coming year 2026 we will have a workshop on diatom identification and the use of the results for diatom deep learning applications. Stay tuned!
